American "free speech" has never been, is not, and will never be "free."
The moment you threaten harm by verbal or written means to another person, you accept the liability for your words.
There are consequences for yelling "fire" in a crowded theater if there is no fire and people die or are injured from your "free speech."
There are consequences for threatening harm to the President of the United States.
By the time a child reaches 7th grade, a parent has had more than sufficent time to educate his/her child to "watch his tongue" for inapproriate remarks at other people.
The parents of the girls who were threatened by these 3 expelled girls have a fundamental right to expect that Griffith school officials are obligated to enforce school policies written long before the 3 expelled girls attended one day of school at Griffith Jr Hi.
Griffith school officials made the decision to expel these 3 girls for very serious threats they made against other girls at Griffith Jr Hi.
Based on the limited knowledge I have of this issue, I believe that Griffith school officials made the right decision.
It will be very, very troubling if this court rules against the decision made by Griffith school officials to expel these 3 girls for the threats they made against several other girls at Griffith Jr Hi..
