Hammond will not get the benefits of the caps until the year 2020. Remember you're boss and Dave Hamm drove to Indy to ensure Hammond would not get full benefits of the caps and they screamed "people will die" because Tommy boy would have no choice but to lay off police and fire. your boy got what he wanted and he still laid off police and firemen.

The problem is your boy's complete mismanagement of city funds and the loss (wink wink) of millions of dollars that are unaccounted for, just take a look at the audits performed by the state, no need to take my word for it. I also believe several council people, like yourself Jan and Mr's. Kalwinski, Salinas and Opinker have been given a little payola from Tom in consideration for your placement on the council and for voting as Tom wants. Just my opinion, based on things that the boy has been able to push through the council. It appears several of you have been bought. It will be interesting to see who and how many of you go down when they take Tom down. I'm betting this will be the biggest shake up in Lake county history. I need to stock up on popcorn.

  3. Nothing Tom can do fish butt, the statements are true. Nothing Tom can do about them. How did they get Curley from 3 Stooges fame to stand in front of a flag for a picture?

  4. I would love to hear about how mayor Tom paid $10,000,000 for 8 jobs and then patted himself on the back like he is the second coming.

  5. So Ed, of the 19 officers that have quit or retired or were fired by mayor Tom since 2008, how many officers are being hired? Fact: Mayor McDermott announced during his last campaign that he was hiring 20 new officers. Fact: No new officers were hired. It was a campaign promise that he never kept, not like that's anything new for the grand exalted exaggerator.

  6. How many officers are they hiring Ed? 1, 2, 3? It doesn't say. It does say some have retired and more are retiring but the article does not state how many new cops will be hired so I'm guessing maybe 3? What happened to the 20 that mayor Curley said he was hiring while campaigning in the last election? Why is it that none have been hired to this point in time?

  10. McDermott plans another fee involving ambulance service, if you are a Hammond resident you will pay $1,000 for an ambulance call and if you reside elsewhwere you will be charged $5,000.00 for the call. Krissy Kantar researched this and she says it is perfectly legal.
