- When Cabrini Green and the other high rise projects were shut down several years ago, Alot of towns in NW Ind. were hit with many of the displaced residents. Hammond, Griffith , Portage,Merrillville, Hobart and parts of Highland, Munster,Crown Point, Valpo got large numbers of these people with all the apartments that were available. Nearly all of them had section 8 housing vouchers in hand.Apartment owners love the section 8 money every month plus the huge tax benefits for them . Section 8 housing, welfare,food stamps, gang bangers its all here to stay and only going to get worse!

- When you feed a wild animal it comes back every day for the free handout. Soon it learns that the handout over time is much easier than trying to get food in the wild, It has siblings and they also learn from their parents or parent since the male ran out on them,how to get by in life easy. They too learn to take the handout. 4 legs - 2 legs its all the same. When the free handout ends they become very defensive . Speaking of handouts , where can I get one of those free cell phones like the ones our goverment has been giving away free to the less fortunate like in Cleveland Ohio. Goggle free cell phones and check that out! Disgusting !
