There was animosity all season with the pitching staff, especially with the pitchers' parents. You have 3 pitchers that got you to a final four last year, but rumor has it the dad of the freshman pitcher was constantly "talking" with Sherman about transferring if his kid wasn't the ace at the end of the season. The truth is the freshman is good, but she got lit up last night. Does LC win if someone else is on the mound, who knows. Pitching is not all about the speed. Once a team times a pitcher who doesn't have a lot of movement, she becomes a pitching machine. The freshman has the speed; the other LC pitchers have the movement. I'm sure the coaches and players will learn from this devasting loss. Too bad the seniors can't have a re-do because they deserved a better end to the season!
