What in the world are you talking about? It's like you're making three points that aren't related to the story. Who was sentenced to death? They could've killed someone driving at that speed! Innocent bystanders! The point of the matter is, you DON'T run from the police regardless of what you're doing. You're endangering the public's safety. Perhaps that's why your thoughts are meandering all over the page, you don't even have an argument anymore.

If someone flees from the police (no apostrophe needed) then it was their decision to do so. They endangered the lives of everyone for something so stupid. It's sad that they lost their lives but still they made a choice. Went down the wrong road or not, they made a decision. It cost their lives.
