- Mitch Daniels had us running in the black by cutting down on Medicaid, help for the disabled, slashing education and hiding money and then miraculously finding it after slashing education. Daniels outsourced over 6 million Hoosier jobs. Our license plates are no longer made in Indiana and even the unemployment cards are sent from Tennessee and not Indiana. Daniels leased our toll road and used over 90% of it downstate. The toll road was scheduled to become a freeway in three years but Daniels stopped that. Daniels helped ruin our country, then our state and is now trying to ruin Purdue University. He is a wart and needs to be removed.

- There were no WMDs in Iraq....more GOP myths. Dems don't have selective hearing...that is the GOP. If any of you knuckleheads actually researched anything you will find that Obama has spent LESS than any president since Eisenhower. Obama, with the GOP in Congress, as contributed only $400Billion to the national debt. The rest is interest on BUSH's debts and paying for BUSH's unfunded wars which Mitch Daniels, Bush's Budget Director said the Iraq war would only cost $65Billion and of course the Iraqis would pay us back in oil revenue. Instead it has cost over $3TRILLION and no payback from the Iraqis. Our problem today is REVENUE. Eisenhower taxed the wealthy at 80%-95% as did Kennedy. They paid down a huge amount of national debt from WWII and we had a booming economy. Reagan taxed the wealthy at 50%. Corporations are not paying any taxes, and many like the oil companies, are getting subsidies besides not paying taxes on their obscene profits. The wealthy are not paying their fair share of taxes. Close the loopholes and get rid of welfare for the rich and corporations, stop sending jobs overseas, stop the GOP obstruction in Congress and our economy would be booming now.

- Another letter by someone who has no knowledge of the situation. The President does pay for his own vacations and those of his family. The extra amount is for Secret Service protection which includes using Air Force One and the special limos. He has no control over this. Richard Nixon wanted to fly regular commercial flights to California but the military and Secret Service will not allow it. So stop with the balonie about how Obama or any president spends vacation time. Stop the GOP/Tealiban lies. Bush was on vacation 3 months every year costing the taxpayers $900K in salary alone as he was on vacation for 2 years of his 8 years in office. Bush Sr and Reagan also took a lot of vacation time. When you compare, you will find Democratic presidents take far less vacation time than Republican presidents. This must be because the Democratic presidents have so much extra work cleaning up the disasterous messes of the Republican presidents.

- Alacran, you need a lesson....in most states you CAN marry your first cousin. The reasons for denying gay marriage are RELIGIOUS and nothing else and so are unconstitutional just as denying interracial marriage was unconstitutional. There is a separation of church and state for a reason and this is one of them....so people cannot shove their religious beliefs down the throat of the country through bias legislation.
