people are leaving Griffith fast! We have sold our income properties here and after reading this our home will go up for sale shortly. No one should have to $5500 a year in property tax and have a house assessed $50,000 over market price in Griffth. Calumet Township is just stealing money from hard working people and I for one have had enough!

oddly enough there is a Mary Elgin being sued for not paying her medical bills..... If this is the same person as the trustee, how can she run a township when she can't even pay her medical bills????? Although in our current political climate facts are just racism

This guy has been arrested numerous times. Hopefully the Lake County courts give him something tougher then house arrest this time...... but it's Lake County so I'm sure he'll get misdemeanor probation again

There has been a lot of crime this year in Griffith. Break ins every neighborhood in Griffith. It's time for a change! Just a shame the one good canidate was forced out, maybe 'cause the admins were scared? They need to go outside the department, and find someone who is going to be proactive on crime! This reactive mentalilty isn't doing anything but keeping young people from moving to Griffith
