Why not put metal detectors when they arrive for school? They should have 2 sets of doors, you pass through the first door, then the metal detector, then you are allowed in the school. If for any reason a parent has to enter the school, they would have to pass through the metal too. If there is a sporting event held at the school, everyone passes through the metal detector too, This would eliminate the need for an officer there all day. An officer could be stationed at the schools in the morning. Or just have an officers there in the morning with hand held metal detector to let the kids in. It might be quicker. If any fights break out during the day, the police department could be called. This should be any school, in any town.
