I've heard of paramedics getting fired for rumors about them. I've heard of EMTs getting fired on their first customer service related complaint. I've even heard of one guy who was fired for speeding (watch these ambulances go up and down Broadway and you'll see the irony there) but this EMT starts an IV and pushes medications and he gets to go back to work with nothing but an article saying he's been suspended (despite the fact that he's going up on the radio and running calls in a chase vehicle)? He has not been suspended and I wouldn't be surprised if this article were nothing but a pitiful attempt to placate the authorities and put up the facade that Prompt holds one iota of respect for the community. He should be stripped of his rank, uniform, chase vehicle, pay, and certification and be put as one of the guys who wash the ambulances.

My question is what happened to the PARAmedic on scene who allowed this guy to play paramedic? Is he/she getting punished as well since they are supposed to be in control of the scene.
