- You know it's a shame when people only think that Gary is such a bad place. There is no place safe as we could see that as tragedy unfolds daily in various communities and places. U would think going to the movies in a suburb area you're safe, but that hasn't been the case. So, if someone sees that a community is still a candidate for hope why such negative comments? As one writer asked the question: what are you doing to effect your community, better yet, what dreams you have that lie dormant because you don't have the courage to step out and act upon regardless of the outcome. It's time to grow up and realize that one person can make a difference Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. did and countless others. I am proud of this young man to pursue his dream and see hope in a dead environment. Best of Luck Drew!!!
