- You sure have alot to say for someone who seems to know nothing......I think she stated that they have money in there cumulative fire fund which money is put into every year to help purchase and make repair to the FD equipment. They stated the it would be a lease/ purchase agreement.......which means it would be leased (which the money would come out of the cumulative fund every year) so there is no 1 time $550,000 payment. I also attended the Territory meeting where it was clearly stated that the money from this fund would be transfered over to the territory. I dont believe Mr. Earley of anyone else is trying to hide anything. I always read your comments here. If you know so much and can do so good......get on the council make changes but stop bashing the people that are at least trying to make it a better and safer community for all of us!!!!!

- you must be a "CAREER" firefighter somewhere.......north or Illinois is my guess......so it is OK for people up north to pay for fire protection but not here.......that makes no sense.......and we are not talking about a full time department .......2 guys 8 hrs a day at each station to cover when volunteers have a hard time covering (a problem all over the US)........have you ever looked at the size of the area Tri Creek covers .........it may be alot of dead space but it can take a few to get there. If you are in public safety and you talk about people the way you do.......GET OUT OF IT......it is guys like you who are..... there to get a paycheck ......case in point........there is no fire department in the Tri-Creek area where the ambulance goes and then a fire crew of 2 respond........unless the ambulance calls for it. All departments besides Lowell are dispatched automatically to assist because of the distance that the ambualnce is coming from.........if you dont know the facts....which you dont......dont comment!

- 1unionmember.........what is so bogus......are you a member of one of these fire departments that you seem to know so much about.......oh yeah you are a union member and they are volunteer so you just put them down......you are as ignorant as the rest of these people......the big thing here is everyone thinks people are going to "make out" like bandits.........one of these departments has to raise $40000 dollars just to meet their operating budget.......ever bought a firetruck.......$300000-$700000 ........again if you know so much I say you join one of these departments and VOLUNTEER your time to help people in need.....again I hope you are never one of them!!!!!

- We are watching........get your facts straight before you open your mouth. The only time a fire truck is sent out is if there is a need for it, i.e. full arrest, lift assist, or maybe just additional medics to help. Again I hope you never need them but when you do you will be glad they are there. Since you know so much you should head on down and run the fire department and EMS for them........Happy Holidays..........Grinch!
