  1. Its sad, but the reality is though historical, this is a run down community in an industrial area in a run down, high crime city. Throwing taxpayer money it won't change anything. There are better places to focus to improve east chicago first.

  2. And, why would anyone believe Tom dart? Show me the data that supports nearly 20% of guns in Chicago crime comes from Indiana????? If the transactions are not registered then how the heck can he support this assumption with facts. He cannot. He is a political animal under lots of pressure so lay blame somewhere else. 5. charter schools and vouchers work well but only if the community and parents are involved. If they simply become a dumping ground for children with learning issues then it says something about the community. It tells me that at least those parents care, but others do not. That burdens the process. Bottom line is that if the schools don't produce, they don't get funding. it's a competitive environment and that's how it should be.

It all starts at home. People who care about their children and how their money is spent almost always support charter and vouchers.

The big problem here seems to be that people exploiting the system once again have spent tax payer (our) money irresponsibly. They should be on the hook for some of it personally. No skin in the game typical
