Officially complete this TOTAL letdown of everything against this boy! He at no time was helped in any way by anyone-just take a second to think about that! His last two years was FULL survival of a world against him. No saving here, once reduced to a frail weakened fraction of what he was, Bludgeoned until dead and tossed back into that cage. Their final concern was of how to hide it all and get away with it! And they get Neglect sentences? Murder by the family that was to Love him...I can no longer enjoy listening to Pink Floyd's "Comfortably Numb".

TRAINING to ensure each agent knows procedure and how to make maximum effect with each possible case. I think guidelines need to be established for agents to legally interview the child away from the accused abuser(s) to avoid any influence.

Each Horrendous case in this story was AVOIDABLE. I frequent these stories because of the Christian Choate case and it is only one. None of them should result in death, there is an obvious lack of training or knowledge of correct procedure in DCS. I hope the money and personnel being given will go to TRAINING. I also hope (in the case of Christian it would have saved him) that the DCS personnel will be authorized to interview the child of interest away from the Parents or suspects presence for influence reasons. I can't believe this occurred. Of course the child will not speak up with the offender present-Hello?! Can we get back to DCS accomplishing it's projected purpose? Now.

Yes, I certainly did and although I am way over in Seattle area I will locate and visit his grave as soon as I can. BTW, I have found NO information on when he is/was buried? The funeral? I wrote a closing comment last night but it might have had some content that was deemed inappropriate as I do not see it. I have to say that the world against Christian continued to the end when these two cretins got deals. If you read the article of her plea deal, it was a set to get her to agree to go against Riley in court. Then they go ahead and offer him a deal too? Really? This is the way to deal with Child killers? Shame.

Several failures throughout the years he was under Monster Custody led to his final demise. From what I recall, the mother claimed abuse from Riley, but she had lost custody due to her refusal to leave her then Boyfriend (now Husband?) who was being investigated for molestation accusal from Christian's siblings. The court at the time had seen the Monster as a better choice. Not to give the mother credit as she had her part in the failure, but she should've fought for a percentage of custody, or visitation. This was where Christian's regular seeming childhood ended. You can see pictures of him happy etc. at Youtube (I find it very difficult to watch but good to see) I also speculate Christian was molested by the mother's boyfriend as this was likely where he would've learned "the hump game" they claim he was doing when the hate started. Idiot Riley gets angry and abusive instead of doing the right thing and getting Christian help (if that is what happened of course). I hope to visit his grave someday, meanwhile I tend to the Cherry tree I planted in his name.

The only time I think there was true justice in this country relating to child murder was a fluke occurrence when the "Chicken Ranch" boy killer in the 1930's was sentenced to hang (the Angelina Jolie movie "The Changeling") in California. Not as in the movie, but during the real hanging, his knees had let go incorrectly and he ended up writhing around on the noose for 11 minutes records say.

Thanks for the tip, I will check later. I think the CPS is called DCS in Indiana. This case should be a training curriculum for future CPS/DCS teams. And Never again should DCS home interview the child in the presence of the Parent/Guardian. I think Christian was also molested by the Mother's boyfriend when he was young. Where else did he learn of the "play" problem that was claimed in court? Unless it was all lies.
