Not spending money on the basic needs does not make one fiscally superior.
He and the Times are aware that the majority of Hoosiers lack higher education and pander to that fact. Serveral years ago the editor told me they write to "Joe shot and beer drinker" That told me that A. they see Joe as an undereducated goof and B they don't have to provide a better product since it won't be understood. It's like going to a steak house that serves a fast food burger because the customers don't know the difference.
So what do we have now? A state with low paying non union jobs, some of the unhealthiest citizens in the country,crumbling roads, dismal k-12 schools (charter and vouchers while give the apperance of "choice" to parents only further erodes the public schools, make the charter folks rich and fail to prove that they are successful at educating kids. How many voucher kids are back in public schools and look up the charter school scores)
"Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life"
That said, the petty actions of the "vet" speak for themselves. The letter should have been mailed. It was a poor decision to visit another business to deliver it.
As I stated earlier, this entire situation screams of hillbilly behavior.
Why target yourself to the thugs by going to a higher end establishment located in a questionable area. It is not the perception of crime it is the reality of it. Will they have valet parking particularly during the holiday season. Trust me no one in there right mind will go there in the evening if they have to walk a distance. You can park in the handicap spaces and still get mugged in the daytime. They won't survive on the typical mall shopper traffic.
