  1. We should remember that "The Times" is not obligated to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.The paper is only obligated to obey the laws concerning libel, and in their videos slander.

    "The Times" is not obligated to run a comment board. Although the signal to noise ratio on many reports or op eds was low at times, there were some insights by the readers that "The Times" could have used to improve their product.

    I invite you to review the list of "The Times" Editorial Advisory Board to see who is on the "most favored" status, and to see why the paper supports certain issues over others.

    It does not surprise me that the comment board will be closed down just before the Lake County income tax enactment. It might be due to the Da Region, Da Times Vision initiative.

    In regards to the use of noms de plume, many American revolutionaries used them.

    You should also review how many of the "New Deal" projects were done by unions.

    If government is so grand, tell me why their is no Social Security "Lock Box" that Al Gore so proudly talked about protecting?

    If government was run by supreme beings with no special intersts, I would gladly cede to the government all matters concerning my well being.

    But we know that is not the case.

  7. The state has given the RDA 10 million dollars for the past twelve years. The Rda could have funded the bridge. The RDA decided that parks would have a bigger impact on "The Region's" quality of life.
