  5. Or his dad/relative/whatever works in the mill and he "borrowed" them to go rob a gas station lol I don't find it likely that someone who works in the mill would be robbing a gas station at 3:13 am, but you never know. Hopefully they catch him and put him in jail where he belongs. Thankfully no one was hurt.

  9. This "cyber bullying" business is relatively new. There are very few laws governing what is acceptable/legal to say on social media sites (like Facebook,) so it leaves a lot of legal loopholes. For those of you who are hysterical over "freedom of speech," that's lovely, but what if these threats proved true? What if these girls actually went through with it? It's not unheard of. Everyone would be crying that something should have been done when the threats were made. Didn't see it coming? Bull. Mykel said it best: these kids have got to learn to be accountable for their actions/words. The fact that this took place after school hours, outside of school is completely irrelevant. Activating a detonator could also take place outside of a school, after school hours, but that wouldn't make it okay, eh? These aren't 5-year-olds involved; they're teenagers. They will be joining the workforce soon and they will still have the mentality that they don't have to answer for their actions or what they say. This is why we have a generation of teenagers in adult bodies. We powder their bottoms and kiss their foreheads when they mess up, and they don't learn a thing, and certainly don't care. I'm glad the school took action and stood up to these girls. Their parents should be ashamed and start making room in the basement for them to live in when they have their kids & baby daddy staying with Mommy & Daddy because they can't hold a job. LOL.
Parents: please teach your children respect & accountability. It's not your job to be their friend, they need guidance and structure if you ever want them to be independent, successful adults. These kids deserve better parenting than they're getting.

  10. Again-- I'm not condoning the actions of these boys. At all. I was also taught that if anyone puts hands on me, male or female, to do whatever I had to do to defend myself. If the Mom went through the school, etc. and nothing got done, I can understand her taking another route. My concern is for the daughter. This is not MY opinion, but the "snitches get stitches" mentality is extremely common in high school/middle school. Teenagers are ruthless and it could make things much worse on her with all of this hoopla going on. I never meant that the Mom was wrong to do what she had to do to protect her kid. Who wouldn't? I'm simply saying that putting your business on the internet for all to see isn't a good solution. It could end up doing more harm than good.
