- Finally, someone who can speak to Philpot's nutty ranting and raving. This out-of-control narcissist deserves every minute and then some that he was sentenced to. I wish all the other people he abused would speak up, so that everyone could know what kind of nutjob has been elected over and over again. This deranged creature did not deserve the HONOR of holding public office or the respect of the voters. He is just another washed up loser. He should have been prosecuted a long time ago instead of allowed to run rampant. I hope his new inmate roommates will hand out some street justice when they are confronted with his smug, superior attitude. Steal all of his cupcakes and chips. Make his scrub the toilets and the scum out of the grout...make him your prison b...!!! That is what he deserves for shafting us, the voters.

- No politician will be frightened by this paltry,little sentence. Philputz should have gotten more time. This measly $24,000 is surely not the only cash that he has pocketed over his long career of mooching off of the taxpayers - he just was not caught for all the other dirty deeds he has done. He really did get "careless" as he said...which is true behavior for many out-of-control greedy megalomaniacs. Narcissistic people always think they will never get caught, that they are better than your average thief. This man is a thief, a dirty rotten thief, plain and simple. Hopefully, when he gets out of the Greybar Hotel, he will not slip into a county job. That would really be adding insult to injury. Hopefully, his cellmate Bubba will teach him some respect, and he will come back a new and improved man with a conscience and a newfound respect for those who actually have to work hard for our money.

- We should have known this would happen to Philputz. It's so easy to see that he can't comprehend well - just look at that perpetual dumb look on his face...it makes me wonder how he passed the bar and how he got into medical school. He probably paid hard up student to take his exams. The guy is a total loser from way back. I hope he finds God in prison because he sure needs to get a conscience. What a scum sucking toad...feeding off of the taxpayers.

I wonder how much money he siphoned off of us taxpayers in that time that we don't know about. This guy is a major loser with a long history of doing dirty in the dark. - This is so typical of operating in Gary...for some reason, the schools, businesses, politicians, etc. think they are above the law, or can make their own rules. How dumb can "people in charge" be to get these loans, build a new facility, and cry that they were unaware that they needed to seek approval from Ball State. What good is their attorney? This is shady behavior at its best. I just hope this half-completed steel monument doesn't sit empty and be another reminder of Gary's lack of planning and overconfidence. This is a shame!
