- Ace I didnt mean to turn anything into a debate, obviously this is tragic, but no his mother nor my sister whom is his ex wife were notified, I wont go into detail of everything of course but all I was stating was I think the paper should have a "rule" so to say that they dont release the name of the deceased for so many hours. Thats all my comment was. Thank you for your kind words and the kind way you made your point for some people causing the innocent family of the deceased "selfish" was completely out of line. A son should not pay for his fathers sins.

- Yes your right, it could have been avoided, I dont dispute the fact that if he was drunk, he was wrong and I am absolutely happy that the truck driver is ok, of course. But you dont even know the facts and you surely dont know this family! To say we are selfish because we are concerned about the fact his child would find out his dad died online! So it is a childs fault that his father MAY have drank and drive, so he shold be punished for his mistakes. Come on Cranki! My only comment was the media should not have release the name before the family knew! Dont turn my concerns for my little nephew into a something else!

- Thanks you and your absolutely right but at the same time the paper should have have waited, even if the next of kin was notified (which they were not), common sense would tell these reporters tha it takes some time to report to the family and close friends, we were all sleeping when this happened! They release the name minutes after it happened, knowing not all family members could be notified! My nephew didnt even know how yet, he is just getting it through his head his dad is gone and he is getting texts from friends telling him what happened because they seen it online. I know its the police who messed up but the media needs to have common sense and some respect! Lord imagine waking up and seeing your dad or son died ONLINE!

- Iam honestly in total disgust as I read this! Tim Leib is a family member, my nephews dad. At the time I seen this article his immediate family had just found out their loved one was gone, they had not even found out how! I read it online and have to tell his family that their dad, son and loved one died in a horrific crash (the Post Tribune actually posting an upclose photo). My God do you guys have any class whatsoever! You post the name of a person before the family even knows what has happened! Have some respect and wait 12 hrs to release the name. I am truly at a lost for words!
