I could care less about politics right now. The current mayor or someone in public works should be held accountable for the lack of public information. Hey Lake Station, please consider signing up for nixle. Its free and a great service to keep your community up to date. Heck you could even advertise this info in the monthly water bill! Oh the irony. Bottom line. The community should have been notified. They weren't.

I am a bit furious with Lake Station and the complete lack of public information on this one. I called the water department they said it was on the website. That website hasn't been updated since Nov. I asked how do we know when the ban is lifted, they replied "call back." The flipping office closes at 4:30. Furthermore the lady stated that the boil order was on the radio and on tv, and just catch that information. Seriously? Come on Lake Station get with it and start treating your residents like people who care about their community! We are no less than any other community in not wanting to drink our fecal matter due to a water main break and lack of information!
