  1. Not all cops work a 2nd job.....and even if they did it is not enough to earn the SS credit. You also have to have so many SS credits in a certain time frame for that when you get to retirement age.
    Here is a thought......I wonder why it seems like they all work a 2nd job.....how about to put food on the table for their families and keep a roof over their heads.

  2. I'm all for the police having a decent pension since they won't get social security nor will they have insurance when they retire. And honestly getting half of what a 1st class patrolman makes will probably not even cover expenses when they get to retirement age they deserve it. But I'm sure he votes exactly how he is told by his supervisor.
