  1. So I have reread the article where does it say anyone was sleeping? Is anyone going to court for sleeping? You make some valid points woopty-doo so I would like to elaborate on them. The so called "sleeping employee" would be sealing $80/week. Now lets see you have a street department supervisor a water department supervisor a maintenance supervisor and a pump station supervisor. Looking here at the salary ordinance that you can pick up at the town hall any time they are open, they each make about $55,000 a year break that down to roughly $26.44 an hour. Now lets see you times that by five $132.21 an hour. Now you have a assistant public works director that makes $67,000 a year $32.21 a hour. So we will put this in your way one employee sleeping for four hours a week would cost the town in reality $737.68. See you have to take in account that a bosses job is to make sure that work is getting done and if they are allowing this employee to sleep they to are part of the how did you put that ghost pay rolling. Now get back to the point is this article about sleeping worker? It is about hard workers? Is it about whether or not someone is a good boss or a bad boss? NOOOO! this article is about a battery that had occurred. Looking up the definition of what a battery is and reading what I have in this article I would say yes but I do not know exactly what happened. If there are witnesses like someone posted they would be the only ones to know the truth. If there wasn't well this becomes one persons word against another.

  2. Please explain to me how IF this employee was sleeping that justifies a battery? The point is he broke the LAW! Get that threw your thick skulls! HE BROKE THE LAW! If the employee was sleeping it doesn't matter. This is a legal matter about a battery not whether anyone was sleeping or not!

  6. I love Highland just not the ones that think it is their playground. You are funny though thinking this is all a joke. Once the ride stops or the music ends hopefully there is enough chairs to sit down. Enjoy your night bigtoe. Maybe your next post will bring something of value. Seeing you are a "retired employee".

  7. Keep it coming people inform these residents of the situations at hand. This is not the 70's the 60's the 50's the 40's. You can not hide your criminal activities anymore.

  8. The bird did not put in for the job and if you are in the know there was not one employee passed up for the job. The life I have is just fine thank you for your concern but I don't see a need to look for another. I hope his badge is big enough to blind the judge to what a battery is. If you also can read this is an article on how someone is abusing their power. If the job was to come in and wrangle in the posse he still needs to abide by the laws.

  9. So this is what $67,000 a year gets you!? He had to fill the qualifications the town was looking for right!? Let's see:
He has an engineering degree right? NOPE
Worked in a public works of some sort right? NOPE
Deals with matters with a level head? NOPE
Help run daddy's business into the ground? YES
I guess one out of four is not that bad lets hire him!
I hope the rest of the town employees are dealing with this hostile work environment in a safe way.
