- I dont know about short staffed but I know that when my bipolar girlfriend called the police on me they managed to get six officers to respond and harass me , Even though i never laid a finger on her. The priorites of the Hammond Police certainly are not in being proactive against gangs and drug dealers. But a domestic call warrants a full on response .

- the funny thing is that the blacks and hispanics have been living the american nightmare for a lot longer than most white americans . and they have adapted to the real economic reality long ago. They have in the most simple expression of survival leanred that a system based on systemic wage slavery and exploitation can only be exploited by utilizing the systems weaknesses ie rewardind children born out of wedlock and by not owning any assettts that can be tracked , they are far ahead of white america who still believes that their hard work will be rewarded by a system that despises them .

- That was something real ,if people chose to ignore the warnings its probably because they were poor or elderly or like the family from tottenville staten island who had evacuated a year earlier for another hurricane only to find thier home had been looted decided to protect thier home because THE GOVERNMENT CANT AND WILL NOT.people who did evacuate especially the poor working class found themselves moved from local shelters to tent cities rUn by fema thay are now the forgotten victims much as the black population in new orleans was destroyed in the nward during katrina.
