  1. Just so we are clear, I am VERY versed in the rules, CPS and the courts. I am also aware that the grandparents could have sought emergency custody WITHOUT the mother or children present. Don't assume you know everything, you don't know what I have dealt with in the years I was a foster parent, a legal guardian for my nephews and an adoptive parent to three.

  3. Then as I have repeated over and over, the grandparents should have petitioned for emergency custody. She is an adult and has to make her own decisions, but the mess with the children could have been avoided.

  5. Here is the reality...the grandparents should have sought emergency custody if they knew she was addicted to anything. If she was drugging her mother or children, test should have been done to verify that in their systems and i'm sure they were. With all that being said, if she gets out of jail and completes the services that our county DCS puts her in, she will indeed get her children back. It's a sick system we have where children are involved, but that is the reality.
