- I have lived in Hammond for 41 years. Everytime Mcdermott is at a doing he has never once acknowledged me or any other peons that are below him. Always comes in like he is doing us all a favor by gracing us with his pressence and then leaving. On the recent national night out he brought his young son, thinking he is gonna actually hang out and let his kid play NOPE said hes little see what I did speech and then left. I don't think he even donated anything for the prize giveaways now that Im thinking of it. He is a rude pompous stuck up as...ole ...
