Enjoy the election, Fred.
And remember his suggestion of labeling all dogs vicious until it could be proved otherwise? Also stated publicly. Save your breath defending the guy and stop assuming you know more about what's really gone on. Have you asked the director his opinion of Evans? Maybe you should.
The entire report by Shelter Planners of America is online for anyone in the public to access. It specifically states that the current location should NOT be used for a new shelter and the current building should NOT be used ever again for housing animals in any capacity. Did Evans even read it?
Hmmm....perhaps the county will see the 'progress' at the shelter fall to the wayside once this re-election is over.
I agree with the sentiments that the new director is probably good.....Evans should stop riding the guy's coat-tails to re-election. Evans didn't care before, he doesn't care now, and he sure as heck won't care if he wins on Tuesday.
Good luck, homeless animals of Porter County and those who care about you.
Evans had his back against the wall by a community outraged by the ongoing suffering there and has made an insincere attempt to feign control. The only reigns he has taken is hiring the same guy to run his facebook page that he hired to run the shelter facebook page. Those of us paying attention to the little details noticed, Commissioner Evans.
