I am in agreement with Thomas J. I have been a huge Sox fan my whole life. My dad took up to 20-30 games a season, got the hotel package at Soxfest every year and when I graduated high school in 2002 I started to work at the stadium. After they won the World Series in 2005 the management went ridiculous. The prices skyrocketed, fans were left in the dust and they took the fun out of working there. Employees couldn't even laugh together without being lectured on how to present ourselves as proud employees of the "World Series Champions Chicago White Sox". I quit working there soon after, I used to be so happy to go into work and then it turned into dreading walking to my station to hear what outrageous new rule they came up with. I still love the White Sox, I try to make it to at least one game a year. My boyfriend is a Cubs fan and sadly I go to Wrigley more times a year because it is more affordable (their tickets on ebay are cheaper than Sox tickets).

Soxfest I think is terrible now. I don't know about anyone else but ever since they moved it to the Palmerhouse Hilton I think it lost all the fun. At the Hyatt it seemed more reasonably priced, they had better seminars and you were able to meet a lot of the players. It was more of an open concept. You can see all the stages with the players on them. It was nice because if you couldn't get into their line you can at least get some pictures of them from where you stood. At the Palmerhouse you were put into a room to get your autograph so if you didn't have a band, you couldn't get in the room to even look. Plus (correct me if I am wrong) the Hyatt's room package included the Soxfest passes/tickets, the Palmerhouse you have to pay extra to get them. My first Soxfest at the Palmerhouse was my last.

Even though I am so happy the White Sox won the World Series in 05, as a fan I miss the game experience from before the win.

Wow, I love how the expelled girls parents claim they were joking around. They were pretty descriptive with how they would get rid of evidence and have a hit list all made up. These parents are messed up in the head if they think that their kids didn't do anything wrong!! I think the school system was right on expelling them.
