You might think "well they should change now that they are adults" or "it is possible to make it out of poverty." There is always that "feel-good" story of the poor kid who made it big after facing extraordinary adversity coming out of the ghetto. Well, it does happen, but not as often as those kids born with ample opportunities. Stop and count your blessings for opportunities you've been given, all that you've earned and all that you've passed on to your kids or youth who have ever looked up to you. Alot of these "deadbeats" never had that.
If you are in a position to help, then hire an unemployed person rather than a job jumper. Suggest to your employer to do the same. My only example of this working is in my own company, where we've hired over 20 unemployed people in 18 months rather than those who are just looking to switch jobs. I am thankful I was not born into poverty and cannot get myself to look down on those who were.
