trimcosts

  1. So basically this article is all over the place with the numbers because the state of Indiana has lied so much about twhat they have in revenue they can not remember which lie is the one to tell the newspaper.
April 05, 2013 1:14 pm on Weak March state revenue can't top 2012 levels
  2. So actually Pence is proposing .0033 % tax cut
while giving us 3 YES 3 NEW TAXES WE CURRENTLY DO NOT HAVE

    EXCISE SURTAX
    WHEEL TAX
    AND OUR COUNTY INCOME TAX

YUUP PENCE SURE IS CUTTING TAXES AND DON'T WORRY SOMEONES IS GOING TO COME ON HERE AND SAY PENCE IS GOING TO CUT TAXES BECAUSE THEY DON'T READ THE ARTICLES...

I have learned if the government names something like taxcut and more money in your pocket it often does not mean what they label it...LOL They have a marketing team you know

yes I am glad the paper has said more later because i bet the writer was shaking his head with this one..
April 04, 2013 11:19 am on Income tax cut in Senate budget but smaller than Pence wants
  3. It makes no difference if it was a firing for political reasons or not..

The computer tech was hired for a specific job he was qualified to do and provided with specific technology for communicating (that technology is provided in many cases with help form the federal Government)

The Sheriff knew what the computer techs qualifications were. The tech was moved into another job and his technology texting device was shutoff. It was strategy to make the position one that he would not qualify for. Really the most important quality of any worker who handles sensitive documents like a background check is honesty integrity squeaky clean record...

Some people on here seem to think because he has a disability that he was not qualifed to do the job...If you wear glasses and someone breaks your glasses I guess your employer should be allowed to fire you on the grounds that you can not see. This is not the stone age we have tech that helps people with this...have you ever heard of Stephen Hawking I SUGGEST THE SHERIFF GOOGLE HIM...
Police are not the only one who serve and protect so do HR people !

  4. The EEOC really does not care that Roy and the current sherriff are having a marital dispute...LOL
I think EVERYONE WHO LIVES IN NWI knows how much the county has suffered because these two have this feud...

  6. Examples of things lake County Sherriff's do when they retire....

    to do list:

Open Tavern: need a few bartendars..ideas::::go to alcoholics anonymous and have members fill out job applications

    or

Open Security company: lets see look up guys from work relaease for security positions and employ former bank robbers to man armoured bank cars...(yes these guys have experience)

    LOL

  7. YOU PUT AN EXCON IN THE POSITION OF DOING BACKGROUND CHECKS !

Not only an excon but a person who here from the article"About four years earlier, Nickovich pleaded guilty to official misconduct as an employee of the sheriff's work-release center, where he accepted money from inmates to let them out of their minimum-security confinement, without official permission"

Yes this Nickovich has a PROVEN TRAC RECORD he has proven that he can not be in charge of cons..He accepted money/payment and then let them out...What a perfect job put this man in charge of background checks so he has a new source of revenue. " Hey if you give me 500 dollars I will say make your background check kind go away..." Just making a joke here. (yes I would say the man you hired was qualified LOL)
Do you folks over at the sheriffs' department know what irony is ?

  8. "James Piunti is a victim of a deal between Dominguez and his father. He was put into a highly trusted position to handle very sensitive information. Given the criminal activity of those that served under Roy Dominguez's leadership it is understandable that ANY sheriff coming in would not allow him to continue in this position. He did not fire the kid, he moved him to another department. It is sad that he has a disability that is prohibiting him from handling his new responsibilities but he knew the risks when he agreed to the deal that his father made for him. This is not an EEOC case but a case of political favors that ended as most do when there is a changing of the g" From a commenter...I am laughing laughing at your comment...

I think it is really interesting how uninformed you are about people with disabilities. I am an HR person I am here to tell you...IT IS NOT OK TO MOVE A DISABLED WORKER INTO ANOTHER POSITION THAT DOES NOT ACCOMOADTE HIS DISABILITY CAN YOU SAY FEDERAL LAW CAN YOU SAY LITIGATION CAN YOU SAY UNJUST TERMINATION CAN YOU SAY REASONABLE COMMODATION

CAN YOU SAY BUINCH HAS RUINED HIS CAREER CAN YOU SAY THIS WILL BE A TEXT BOOK EXAMPLE USED IN A COLLEGE SITUATION FOR FUTURE STUDENTS OF HR

    YOU BETCHA
