    3.5% State Income Tax
    High License Plate Fees
    and now a 1.5% Local Income Tax as their starting point.... not .25% or .50%. These IDIOTS want to START at 1.5%. Think about that. What would be these jokers limit several years from now.
    This is all at a time when the county claims it has no money, yet every community I drive through seems to have new schools and a brand new multi-million dollar library.....I am not against libraries but it seems to me this is not the time to spend tens of millions on them across the county.

  5. I watched a couple of the news stories on this and several things seem strange. Why did it take a week to release this information?? A "person of interest" ... "we just want to talk to him" really?? One of these articles mentioned a car that picked the guy up but they didn't mention it at the press conference (seems like that might be an important detail). The interview looked like it took place in front of the Griffith Police Department yet it was Gary Police Chief Wade Ingram's press conference. Where was the Griffith Police Chief??

  6. For those of you who believe politics have played a role in this....you are correct. It was "politics" that put an uneducated and unmotivated person into a Police Chief's position that he did not deserve. It was "politics" that caused this uneducated, unmotivated person to cave to political pressure and promote a town councilman to second in command of a police department. .....and you see where these "politics" has taken us.

  7. Maybe protesting wasn't the best idea. Maybe protesting will lead to the truth and the truth will lead to something much, much worse. The loss of jobs, perhaps. You have to wonder how long this has been going on. No wonder so many fine officers have left the Griffith Police Department in recent years. Shameful!!!!
