This is a wonderful article, well thought and nicely written. But the demise of public education is on the agenda of our republican politicians. Public schools house teachers that belong to a union, and unions fund the democrats and defunding the democrats is what they are after regardless of the consequences to our young people.

As an American, you have the right to not like our leaders and express it publicly. It really is a remarkable thing. But you should at least have the respect to call him by his title. President Obama is the president. When you resort to name calling, all it proves is that you have adopted the rhetorical style of a 12 year old.
If you look at the president's record, he governs like a conservative. Ask any liberal. If you can't see that, you may have bigger problems.
