- The very sad thing about her taking the plea deal is that she will never face a jury. She faces a minimum of 25 years with a maximum of 35 years. By an argued sentence, it means that people can write letters to the judge or come to court and speak on behalf of Christian and beg the court to give her the maximum of 35 years and the judge makes the final decision. To add insult to injury, under Indiana Law, if she behaves in prison, she will only have to serve 1/2 of the sentence imposed and then be paroled. This is a slap in the face to any murder victim as well as their family. I know this as fact back in 2000 when my brother was murdered and we argued the sentence on a plea deal and the murderer got 40 years and will serve only 20 so he will be eligible for parole in 2020. Not much justice for murder if you ask me. RIP poor sweet Christian. You deserved much better parents than you got.
