  1. A friend on FB made me aware of this AWFUL tragedy. They have started a benefit page to raise money for this woman. After seeing the benefit page, reading the newspaper articles, viewing the video and pictures..I find this whole situation is very disturbing in many ways. Why didn't this woman have any insurance???? If she was having financial problems and could not afford insurance, how the heck could she afford SEVENTEEN dogs??? I was sick to hear that 15 of those dogs died in that HORRIFIC fire. It is my understanding that all the dogs were owned by her.. none of them were recuses or fosters. Those of us that own pets know that it can be expensive...food, vet bills. yearly dog license (did she have those dogs properly licensed??? ) i don't understand why a person would cut back on insurance and live in a little run down home BUT, keep 17 dogs. Plus....why was she running a grooming business and a kennel out of a small home in a residential neighborhood? Did she have a business license? As a loving owner of 3 dogs and 2 cats, I can just imagine the grief that she is suffering. My heart goes out to her for the loss of her dogs.Nothing will ever replace them. BUT.... I refuse to donate anything to her fund. It was her own stupidity that has resulted in her not being able to replace her personal possessions. I guess I'm just fed up with people playing the victim and expecting handouts from others. I can think of other more deserving causes then a hoarder/BYB. Sorry JMHO.
