  1. Are you people actually serious! There will always be people that sit back and are negative about anything that comes along. What we need in Lake County is more positive thoughts! Deep River Waterpark is one of Lake Counties jewels that draws in people from all over the midwest to spend $$ on gas, lodging, food, casinos, shopping, etc. that creates jobs right HERE. The incident was unfortunate and was quickly taken care of. We're long time customers and the very next day the park was very crowded with lots of kids having the time of their life! My guess is these responses come from people that have never seen the park, just grumpy...come on out, have some FUN, the water's fine...

  2. You are kidding...right?
You mean you never go to a place that has had an incident? ...you must be running out of places to go...

  3. Look up Expenses vs. Overhead vs. Revenue and I think you will learn the difference between seasonal business and year-round... I think then you will understand what Rover is talking about.
    Cheers!

  4. Why wouldn't they?
The Facebook page is a FAN page to promote the waterpark. All or most businesses have them to promote their business. If people were posting their "opinions" (and you know what they say about opinions) which may be totally false, just rumors or antagonize why would it be left up? On Facebook, if you have an opinion you are suppose to post it to your page... do you have a Facebook page?

  5. I believe their Facebook page is a FAN page... if people are posting negative things that may or may not be true, why leave them up? All pages like that on Facebook are to promote the business...I just looked and they have the link to the TIMES article on the page.

  6. Come on people...one issues is too many, but when dealing with the public things can and will happen. Deep River Waterpark has operated 17 years with NO problem like this...when one did happen the police officers handled it as quickly as possible...in fact someone I know was at a private party THAT EVENING at the waterpark and had a GREAT time. Pull back, Deep River Waterpark is a great place for families in NW Indiana to go, and in comparison the prices are lower than any other waterpark anywhere near. 100,000's of people every summer have a great time there and bring in revenue to hotels, restaurants, gas stations, etc. in NW Indiana and we need it.

  7. Lynn...
Please get your story straight...posting things that are not correct or partially correct can do harm. Here's the link to the article about the bus driver you are referring to... http://www.theindychannel.com/news/13800160/detail.html
The bus driver had dropped kids off, was parked in the woods resting and a fugitive pulled off US30 and robbed him and left. Had nothing to do with Deep River Waterpark except that is where he was parked...and the fugitive...he was just passing through.

  8. Lights burning in evening?
FYI... That's a private party, 5 nights a week the park is sold out for private parties that generate additional revenue...one night a week the park is open until 9:30pm to the public. In fact I believe the Steelworkers had a private party last Friday.
