There was just a shooting were so many innocent men, women, babies, children, and senior citizens were exposed to this life changing incident and this is the route you go? Obviously you weren't there and aren't dealing with the shock of being exposed to this!

- Two if not three shots. Three people detained, heard no one was injured. Way to go Hobart PD for responding so fast! Thankful to the lady named Stacy from Southern Illinois that jumped out of her car to help me push my two small children to my car! I don't think I will ever see you again, but appreciate your assistance.

- Maybe the captains, seniors and leaders of this team decided that they were tired of the parents complaining on here that have been trying to drag this team down. Enough is enough already. The excitement on the team members face at the beginning of this season, and the motivating things that have happened to them was priceless. Yes, the previous records over the last few years have a very low winning percentage. But look at the changes to the staff! There are not a huge amount of studs that have Big 10 or Division 1 schools knocking on their door! This staff has worked at improving on year one, and most of the kids have bought in. The kids that have not are probably the children of some of these previous posters. It is difficult for a kid to play with full heart when they are hearing nothing but bashing at home. Let the kids be kids, let the coaches coach and things will grow. Just because Grider came in doesn't mean things are going to be horrible, or grow to be great that first season! Like any new head coach there has to be a building year! And as Billyjoel posted, there are not that many seniors, so hopefully the parents will allow the tradition to begin and let the coaches build this program with the kids and for the kids rather than tearing it down! As for Gunner, you are an overall great kid! It's not easy being in the lime light or the easy target. You have handled it with grace. Kuddos to you! Good luck to the Highland Trojans next week against West Side! Hopefully this team can continue the momentum and continue their growth into a good solid program.
