  1. Ms. Shurr Blaney looks like her Grandpa.

  2. Just what Valpo needs, more apartments.
And maybe they could TIF the whole area, too. More money for Valpo's elite, less for the schools and kids.

  3. I saw Phelps talk and he seemed way too green for this job. I'm not a big Pete fan, but I can tell we need someone like him to represent our nwi interests. Phelps will get run over in DC plus he was kind of rude.

  4. Mr. Gutt,
Do you realize that your rock group made it so health insurance is almost 3 million underfunded and the new jail area not funded at all? Your fab four have all of 911 money is coming out of the rainy day fund and that fund will run out, then what? All of the county's general fund reserves will be used up with this "careful" budget. Don't believe everything you hear because slick Jim and his groupies didn't do the county or it's employees any favors. Time will prove it and not that much time either, stay tuned.

  5. What a ridiculous thing. The information they are up in arms about is public record. PLEASE vote Blaney and Whitten. They, Conover, and Evans are the only ones keeping that nuthouse called county government from going off the rails.

  6. Smoke and mirrors by Mr. Biggs and everyone is falling for it. The story should focus on the fact that there's no money for opening a new jail when we have a report that says we could be in trouble with the feds like Lake Co, there's no money for medical staffing at the jail, county employees don't have a funded insurance plan (which equals no insurance), and there's no funding for e911. Jeremy Rivas promised us he'd fix 911 funding. I guess since it wasn't his idea he voted no to fix it. This is all about making Mr. Whitten look bad so Mrs. Graham can beat him and keep Mr. Biggs minion group together. I'm sure it's just plain fun for him to make the others look bad too. Wake up everyone. Please. How are these geniuses planning to pay for the necessities they left out? It was irresponsible not to talk to the commissioners about using income tax money. They need to work together. It's easy to say you cut a budget when you just don't pay for stuff you need. Sorry kids, no dinner tonight but daddy has a fat wallet. Oh, and I almost forgot kids, I'm going to let the neighbors borrow money for their steak dinners. They've been in jail for awhile and passing out money to their friends so they are broke. We wouldn't want them to be hungry, right? Don't be sad. You can watch while they eat it.

  7. What a shame. And what a sad display. Hundreds of millions in the bank and services cut and no raises. Graham and Polarek didn't even know what cuts they were voting to make (veterans take note). The auditor must be the pied piper. Graham didn't even know CEDIT was income tax. Blaney and Conover looked like they were in hades. I guess they were.
