  1. Yes you can, it's called being a responsible parent! It's ashame that the new, modern parent is just as juvinile as their kids and they condone the behavior. They do not think there is anything wrong with it, or they have shown their kids this type of behavior by their own actions. The new, modern parent will spend hours on facebook playing "games" or will be sitting right next to their kids playing violent and disturbing games, or family TV is now sitting around and watching hours of the most ignorant "Reality Shows" that shows ignorant behavior!

  2. And you are VERY wrong about the Griffith Police Department wanting to do something about it. It was turned over to the Prosecuting Attorney office at Lake County (you know, the same Lake County that some of their voted in people are going to jail for swindling tax payers out of money,) and THEY did not want to do anything. I'm not too sure you have any kids there, Tax Payer, because if you did and if this would of happened to one of your children, you would want something done since you are a TAX PAYER! Maybe you should do a little research on the 'net about bullying cases, especially cyber-bullying, and see the numberous amounts of children who committed suicide from it. Did you know that one of these thug girls punched another girl in the face (and was caught on a school security camere,) has a history of unruly behavior? These girls could very well be a threat! A threat in writing is a provable threat; joking or not joking! It's called taking personal responsibility for your actions, and this is how we learn as humans. Girls can be bullies and thugs just as much as boys can be. You need to look into you soul and find a place in which you need to find reality instead of your world of just apologize and move on. I bet if you found a person making threats to you (at work, on facebook, etc,,) you would not take it lightly.

  3. Who ever you are, I dare you to go into a police station and say what these girls said to a police officer and see who pays the piper! You are ridiculous!

  4. I posted this with the last article in the paper before a settlement was settled: We are in very dangerous times with the ACLU interfering in rules set by the school for the safety and well being of every student and faculty member of the Griffith Public School system. If GPS caves in and pays off the family of the girls who knowing wrote what they did on Facebook because of being bullied by the ACLU, the rule book, that both the student and the parents signed for, will essentially be able to be thrown out the window and will become null and void. In a society in which we see commercial after commercial and radio announcement after announcement about standing up to bullying, the ACLU says it’s really ok to just go ahead and keep on doing it because there will be no consequences to your actions. The ACLU has almost an unlimited amount of money to go against a small town school system and bully their way into our society. What does this teach our children? I sure hope that GPS and The Town of Griffith with rethink this tentative agreement and tell the ACLU to go blow. Nobody except the girls who posted what they did on Facebook will know the truth of what was really going through their minds when they wrote what they did, but lets face the facts, they did write some awful things, people were named as targets and weapons were discussed. This is cyber-bullying, plain and simple. They should have taken their lumps, learned from it and moved on. But now, the taxpayers of Griffith will be paying out their hard earned money towards a lawsuit instead of better education for our children. Less not forget the countless children that have committed suicide over bullying and cyber-bullying all over this county because nobody took a stand against it. This is going to cripple our town and severely cripple the way our school system can discipline the students that break the rules because now any parent will run to the protection of the ACLU and get paid by the school system. Do we really need a school system with tied hands while some students can become disenfranchised from life because a school cannot stop bullying by removing the bullies from school? Schools do have the right to protect themselves, their staff and their students from threats, even if it is during non-school hours because the threats were written and was admitted to being written by the girls. I bet you almost for sure that if the President of the United States was part of this threat that the Secret Service and FBI would have been there almost instantaneously! To all you think that this has gone too far, tell that to the families of the school shooting all over the United States from disenfranchised children who shot them up after feeling hopeless and lost in society.

  5. anger management, you hold very little credibility to me because it seems like you know too many people in too many towns when it comes to having an opposing view. I seem to recall many anger management comments in other sections for being opposite of what's really going on. you do not know me and you do not know who I am because if you did you would know by just seeing the name with my post. I am very involved in this and I will not let this rest. have a great day. I'm done debating with you.

  7. The death penalty is the only justice for both parents (and I use the term parents very lightly.) I bet if the death penalty was used more often for crimes that involve the lost of live of another person, you would see the murder rate go way down!!!
