- I am a Lake Ridge School System Parent and First and foremost I would like to say the kids are the ONLY people going to be hurt with whatever school they decide on closing. My son who attends Hosford Park was BESIDE himself and UPSET thinking the school he goes to could be closed. Honestly, with the two schools at hand, I think its going to be a Black Oak school over the remaining area due to the fact that area is very run down. I feel sorry for those that would have to attend another school but seriously, I dont even like heading to that part of town and I LIVE IN GARY AND THE SAME SCHOOL DISTRICT! With growing up in a not so nice area of Hammond and seeing Black Oak is like seeing where I grew up...Its Horrible! Now honestly, these parents really have nothing to worry about figuring Lake Ridge Schools provide bussing for all students all you have to do is fill out the gold form for transportation when you register your children. Thank the economy for those who are going to be sad of a school closing. Times are rough EVERYWHERE!!!!!!! Be lucky they arent sending our kids to surrounding areas such as Griffith schools or Merrillville...THEN THERE WOULD BE A PROBLEM!!!! I do feel bad for those that will be losing their jobs. One thing that this school system has done a great job of is OUTSOURCING EVERYTHING! Look at all the bus drivers, including my neighbor a VETERAN OF YEARS! , that lost their job due to changing bus companies and not using their own people. That is what is wrong. They're getting rid of our own people, people who have stayed dedicated to LRS and got a swift kick where the sun dont shine. Lets not worry about a school....There are two other elementary schools that can be utilized. What we need to worry about is when they are considering the Middle or High School closing.

- I think this is a wise idea! I have found the service much better in Crown Point for all my dealings than in Gary...Whenever I walk into the doors in Gary, I see a bunch of people that simply pawn work off onto the other offices and give us people a big run around! Just because of where I resided when I was divorced 7 years ago, I still have to go Gary for everything when Im dealing with arrears with my ex and it is more of a convenience to go to Crown Point! WHenever you call there, no one answers, no one is ever available to help you, but I can get answers right away in Crown Point. Honestly, Im in need of a better job, and I know quite a few others too, I'd be more than welcome to do thier job if they dont want to! Bunch of laziness in Gary if you ask me! I could honestly state my name if I could....Theres no need for anonymous comments here! IM SICK OF GARY COURTHOUSE!!!!!!!!!
