On another note,,, terrorists go for high profile targets. What on earth in Gary is high profile other than possibly US Steel? But then that is even questionable. That would be more of a strategic target in the event of war not a terrorist target.
There is a length of time allowed to collect unemployment. For the most part these are people who want to work. In order to collect unemployment one must show they are looking for a job.
There is no time limit of collecting welfare. The recipients DO NOT have to prove they are looking for a job and don't have to take drug tests like many of those paying taxes to support them. How much would it cost the gubmint to have the welfare recipients prove they are looking for a job just like those who collect unemployment?
I have seen statistics that those on the highest level of assistance make within $1500 dollars a year of someone who WORKS and EARNS $60.000 per year. This takes into account their housing, energy assistance (utility bills) food, phone, etc.
