A different option, a better option.

With every other county in Indiana having an income tax the reality is Lake County must join them and enact an income tax. Keep it at 1% or less.

County Jail, Sherriff's Dept. and Courts are the budget problems for the county, FIX the problem and CUT the budgets of these areas to get cost in line with rest of the state.

Shame on you Lake Central School Corp. Administrators!
You pay no retirement, no medical, no vacation to your Paraprofessionals.
You expect them to live off of wage of $11.04 /hour which is less than $12,000 per year for most of them. If a Paraprofessional needs medical for family Lake Central charges them over $19,000 per year for medical!! That is more than they make in a year.
You require them to be Sub Certified and teach when needed and you don't even pay them the rate a substitute teacher would earn when they perform this function.
You require Paraprofessional to have 2 yr college degree or pass a test in lieu of college to maintain employment.
You cut Janitorial staffing and Support staffing due to budget constraints.
Now you are increasing the salaries of the highest paid administrators who don't even work with students on a daily basis at the cost of the quality of the lives of the Support Staff and Teachers.
You fail to pay a living wage to employees making less than $15,000 per year while giving stipends of $15,000 and $35,000 to your highest paid employees.
Paraprofessionals, you NEED to have representation. You NEED a UNION!!!

Prices are OK at Bobb, not great. Located better prices online within two minutes of searching on internet. For those who don't negotiate well the prices will save you money.
I had experience with Art at Napleton and it was very unpleasant, respect was not part of the Art experience. Hopefully Bobb Auto Group will operate with respect and honesty toward their customers and deliver on their "new philosophy".

Sales tax on vehicle purchase.
Most states only have one or the other, Indiana has both.
Yearly vehicle registration fee.
18 cent per gallon Indiana fuel tax plus 7% sales tax on gasoline.
All the above are direct costs to vehicle operation.

Property tax on real estate.
State income tax.
Local county income tax Lake County (If that taxhole Democrat Ted Bilski gets his way!!)

Reduce the budget somewhere else to fund the roads. Start at the jail, then cut the money wasted at township level, then reduce the budget at the Lake County Sheriff, then reduce the budget at the courts.

When you don't have enough money, take other peoples money. It is the Lake County way.
Tax, tax, tax! Redistribute money to New Chicago, to Hobart, and Merrillville from the rest of the county.

I support this ordinance and support Saint John adhering to it's zoning and ordinances.
30x40 is not a "shooting pad", it is a half court and 1200 sq ft is too large, it's more area than a small home.
