  2. Indiana passed drug testing for unemployment already.So why in the he!! would we not do this for welfare? I had to pass a drugg test 3 times just to GET my job. And as for testing soldiers... We have random testing EVERY MONTH in the military.Even the national guard does this. Get off your a$$es and get a job. There is a huge change coming in 3 years. latins will become the majority and the chinese will be right behind them. look at the birth rates in this country and tell me what you think this country will become when you have people who cant take care of the kids they have now because of the economy. And unemployed people will keep having babies when they have no way, and no intention of supporting themselves and their kids.WAKE UP OBAMA FOLKS, THE PROBLEM WITH WELFARE IS THAT YOU EVENTUALLY RUN OUT OF OTHER PEOPLES MONEY.

  4. It is the business of every medic, Bobby included, to follow up and keep track of these calls. start trouble for medics? I think if you are so good at doing your job then you have nothing to worry about. work for prompt? never. some of us stand by our convictions and maybe one day when you grow up , you to can learn what it means to have personal integrity too. I for one can not work for a little more than minimum wage and I am looking out for my citizens by getting prompt out of there. We have no problems with the medics , just the owners. Public safety is not meant to be run as a for profit business. lives are not goods to be bartered with for the price of the lowest bidder. And I assure you we do not follow rigs around , but our wonderful friends and citizens do. And to those people I say THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP.KEEP UP THE HARD WORK.

  5. EC ems had almost 40 years of service with only 2 lawsuits. Prompt has been in the city for just over 40 days and they have 4 lawsuits coming their way.who has the better record? leaving a patient in the hall who was hit in the eye by a golf ball. no Als care. Patient condition very serious. cardiac arrest moved out by wheel chair instead of fire department, seizure patient with 20 minute response from HIGHLAND. pediatric respiratory distress, the ambulance lies and says they are on scene, 2 minutes later the mother calls asking where the ambulance is,because it is not there.that sounds like someone is making up false response times to make the numbers better.also illegal since it goes down on a state report.medics bring in a shooting and dont have the injury bandaged. the list goes on and on. We are watching and listening ,and yes sometimes following prompt rigs and recording the calls. please keep up the great job of not doing your job. and just for the record,no supervisor from ec ems would allow anyone to not take a call to eat

  6. How funny it is that with all the uproar and anticipation of this evaluation of prompts performance, suddenly the meeting is cancelled. I call foul. have the meeting and lets throw this info on the table and see the lies for what they are. The mayor must have put in a call to his boy lenny and told him to shut it down.what will happen when lenny is no longer able to sit on the board and be on the council? choose with care my friend.

  7. LEARNING CURVE?????? THIS IS LIFE AND DEATH WE ARE TALKING ABOUT HERE YOU FOOL. WHAT HAPPENED TO MR MILLER AND HIS MILLION DOLLAR GPS SYSTEM THE COMPANY HAS? AND WHAT HAPPENED TO THE COMMENT THAT THEY TRIED TO SELL THE CITY ON ABOUT HOW THEY HAVE SOOO MANY 911 CONTRACTS IN OTHER CITIES AND THAT EC IS NO DIFFERENT? HATE TO SAY I TOLD YOU SO BUT...... EC IS NOT PRETTY LITTLE MUNSTER OR HIGHLAND OR MERRILLVILLE . THIS LITTLE CITY OF 30,000 PEOPLE IS MAKING THIS BIG BAD COMPANY LOOK LIKE THEY JUST GOT INTO THIS FIELD.THE ONLY THING THAT HAS SAVED THEM FROM FURTHER INCIDENTS , IS THE FACT THAT THEY HAVE THE FEW EC MEDICS THAT HAD TO STAY. IF THEY GO THEN WATCH OUT. I THINK SUPERIOR SHOULD START HANGING OUT IN THE CITY AND JUMP ON THESE CALLS THAT PROMPT CAN'T ANSWER IN TIME. WHEN WILL THE NEXT SHOE DROP? WHO IS TO BLAME? GILDA / THE MAYOR? LETS JUST WATCH THE CIRCUS REALLY COME OUT AND SEE THEM BACK PEDDLE THEIR WAY OUT OF THIS AND SAY THEY REALLY NEVER WANTED TO GET RID OF THE CITY MEDICS AND THAT THEY NEED THEM BACK. BUT NO.... THEIR TOO PROUD TO ADMIT THAT THEY WERE WRONG. AND MORE AND MORE OF PROMPTS MEDICS ARE LEAVING AND FEWER ARE BEING HIRED.WHAT WILL WE SEE IN TOMORROWS PAPER???????

  8. the agreement was not 10 min. they were given 10 % longer response time over what the city medics had, and that gives prompt the required response time to be met at 3 minutes 59 seconds. Because you see, the city medics were on it.they knew the streets by heart and did not need gps to help them get there. Prompt cant cover this city and now they are trying to go after gary and hobart.who else has to suffer and die all in the name of trying to save a dollar. These cities need to know that they can create a special fee which is allowed by the state , to pay for the ambulances. you can't expect to make public safety a private business. Are you going to start charging folks when they call the police ? I am sorry mrs garcia, we cant send an officer over to stop the rapist from getting you because you have not paid the bill from the last time the police came to your home for the break in. Do you see how this is going to end people. Take back the Ems , and take back the city government from these uneducated, unquilified people who are bleeding it dry. All of these other cities are waiting and watching E.C. to see how prompt does so they can do the same. The staff at St.Catherines is told not to start trouble with prompt.the EC dispatchers are told not to start trouble with prompt. So who will call them out when they cause someone injury or death ? How many People have to suffer waiting 20 minutes for an ambulance to come from griffith? My family lives in EC , and I will not sit by and watch this happen any longer. Get a scanner and listen to the dispatchers folks. Keep track of the times when prompt is sent and when they actually arrive. Then bring it to your councilman. The next life you save may be yours or your loved ones.

  9. Joe merry also cannot work as a medic due to the fact that the state of indiana suspended his license. So can someone tell me why he is still running around in the chase car and responding to medical calls? And where is the review board? The city needs to be looking at these response times themselves,not letting prompt doctor up their own report card. How about you put a fireman ,and one of the old medics on that board to keep it honest. At least they know what to look for and all the ways prompt can work the numbers to make themselves look good. The citizens are suffering the costs of these folks at prompt and the mayor does not care.
