Department of Development & Storm Water Management is seeking sealed bids for the project designated as Fletcher Estates Subdivision Storm Water Management System Improvements, Phase 1. The project is located in and adjacent to the Fletcher Estates Subdivision, generally east and west of CR 575 W and north of SR 8, and extends from the northeast corner of the subdivision to Henderson Ditch. The project is located in Section 12, Township 33 North, Range 7 West, in Boone Township, Porter County, Indiana.The project consists of the installation of new storm water infrastructure to replace a failed septic system perimeter drain outlet (i.e., master tile) and new drain tile to replace a failed agricultural drain tile system that includes the downstream end of Henderson Ditch, Arm 12. The overall purpose of the project is to enhance the drainage and storm water management services provided to the surrounding property owners by improving the area's storm water infrastructure. It generally includes installation of storm sewers, via open trench construction, installation of pipe underdrains, installation of storm sewer structures, installation of drain tile, via open trench construction, and installation of perforated drain tile, via trenchless or open trench construction. The project also includes enhancements to the detention basin serving the Fletcher Estates Subdivision. The project also includes other items incidental to the work, including drain tile investigations to confirm the location, size, depth, and alignment of existing septic system perimeter drain outlets, the creation and maintenance of temporary construction entrances and construction access routes, and the reconstruction of a grassed waterway that will be disturbed during the performance of the work. The work includes the carrying out of all duties and obligations and the furnishing of all labor, material, tools, equipment, and other incidentals necessary or convenient to the successful completion of the project.Copies of the bidding documents are fully downloadable on the Porter Co. All prospective bidders are encouraged to attend and participate in the meeting.The Porter Co.
