Department of Development & Storm Water Management is seeking sealed bids for the project designated as Ludington Ditch, Arm 10 - Drain Tile Reconstruction, Phase 1. The project is located near the intersection of CR 300 W and CR 375 S and generally extends from CR 375 S south to Ludington Ditch. The project is located in Sections 21 and 28, Township 34 North, Range 6 West, in Porter Township, Porter County, Indiana.The project consists of the installation of a new drain tile system to replace a failed drain tile system that includes the downstream end of Ludington Ditch, Arm 10, as well as Ludington Ditch, Arms 11 and 12. The overall purpose of the project is to enhance the drainage and storm water management services provided to the surrounding property owners by improving the area's storm water infrastructure. It generally includes the installation of drain tile, via open trench construction, the installation of storm sewer structures, and the installation of perforated drain tile, via trenchless or open trench construction. The project also includes other items incidental to the work, including road cut and repair work to install the new drain tile under CR 375 S, in two locations, and under an existing driveway, the creation and maintenance of temporary construction entrances and construction access routes, and the reconstruction of a grassed waterway that will be disturbed during the performance of the work. The work includes the carrying out of all duties and obligations and the furnishing of all labor, material, tools, equipment, and other incidentals necessary or convenient to thesuccessful completion of the project.Copies of the bidding documents are fully downloadable on the Porter Co. All prospective bidders are encouraged to attend and participate in the meeting.The Porter Co.
