Crown Point real estate firm releasing craft beer

Jason Bazarko adds grains to Prime Real Estate's Prime A'Peel New England Hazy IPA.

Prime Real Estate in downtown Crown Point has released the craft beer its agents brewed earlier this year.

The real estate firm's Prime A’Peel, a 6.5 ABV New England Hazy IPA with 18 IBUs, sweet orange peel, and Citra, Zythos and Cascade hops, is now being sold to the public at Crown Brewing in Crown Point and Pour House in Valparaiso.

Prime Real Estate has tapped its agents to brew craft beer for the past three years to generate buzz and excitement for employee engagement.

“Summer is a busy time for our agents,” Marketing Director Andrew Knies said. “They work very hard and Prime A’Peel is a way to celebrate their hard work and all that is ‘appealing’ about our company.”

All the beers have real estate themes, such as a Primed Up Porter, made with coffee in an allusion to the famous “coffee is for closers” line from David Mamet's classic “Glengarry Glen Ross.” This year's New England IPA was brewed at Crown Brewing. Agents handled every step of the brewing process, including pouring hops and checking temperatures.
