The Northwest Indiana World Trade Alliance, a local group that seeks to promote free trade, encourage local businesses to export, and highlight the contribution of international trade to the Region economy, will have a discussion on NAFTA 2.0 Wednesday.

The group will host a panel discussion luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at Avalon Manor, 3550 U.S. 30 in Hobart.

"We are featuring an update on NAFTA 2.0, what it's all about and where it might be going," NWI World Trade Alliance Board Member Greg Boyan said. "The guests are known experts on what is happening with NAFTA. We feel that this is an important event for many businesses in the area as many of them do business in Mexico and Canada."

Keith Kirkpatrick, the host of Lakeshore Focus on Lakeshore Public Television, will moderate a discussion with Ralph Biedermann, the executive director of the US-Mexico Chamber of Commerce Mid-America Chapter, and Chantal Wittman Meier, vice president of International Banking of MB Financial.
