Salvage + big-box furniture store opens in Schererville

Salvage + has opened a big-box store in Schererville.

The Salvage + furniture store has moved from U.S. 30 in Dyer to a big-box location in a relatively new development on Indianapolis Boulevard in Schererville.

The locally owned overstock furniture store has opened at 815 Willowbrook Drive in the 160,000-square-foot Boulevard Square strip mall at the site of the former Menards on Indianapolis Boulevard in Schererville. A new Kali Beauty also is planned at the shopping center that includes Planet Fitness, the Sky Zone Trampoline Park, United Arts & Education, Last Chance Overstock, Region Ale Tap House and Coyote Cantina.

Salvage +, which is filling a big-box space of more than 30,000 square feet in Schererville, describes itself as "a locally owned and operated furniture store that specializes in refinished furniture as well as high quality new furniture."

The store carries tables, couches, bookcases, credenzas, wall art, lamps and mattresses in a cluttered, warehouse-like layout.
