A name that's synonymous with sweetness in Northwest Indiana will appear at a local bank next month to dispense business advice.

Albanese Nuts and Candy owner and CEO Scott Albanese will give a talk between 8 and 9 a.m. Sept. 14 at First Financial Bank, 11890 Broadway, Crown Point. It's part of First Financial Bank's Morning Business Hour speaking series, which gives local business people the opportunity to network and learn how to grow their businesses.

More than 30 years ago, Albanese founded the Albanese Confectionery, which has a factory that makes "the World's Best Gummies" around the clock in Hobart and an outlet store in Merrillville. The company is known for its Gummi Bears, Gummi Army Guys, chocolate gift boxes, roasted nuts and growing assortment of sugar-free items.
