Advanced Medical Marketing & Internet Strategies seminar

Doctors consult patient records. Amplified Medical is presenting a free seminar, Advanced Medical Marketing & Internet Strategies from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 26 at the Indiana Welcome Center, 7770 Corinne Drive, in Hammond.

With some consumers turning to online medical resources to self-diagnose their ailments, medical professionals need a new approach to tap a growing tech-savvy customer base.

Amplified Medical, a national healthcare marketing advertising agency, in partnership with The Times Media Co., is presenting Advanced Medical Marketing & Internet Strategies, a session designed to help medical professionals develop effective advertising messages to reach potential patients.

The free program is from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 26 at the Indiana Welcome Center, 7770 Corinne Drive, in Hammond.

"The landscape has changed so drastically in healthcare over the past few years that it's important we do our best to educate our local providers on how to best approach 2018 and beyond," said Joe Battistoni, vice president of sales and marketing for The Times Media Co.

Amanda Ooms, healthcare marketing specialist with Amplified Medical, said the seminar's goal is to give people the knowledge they need to connect them with future patients.

"Marketing teams and physicians are often so busy that they don't have a chance to step back and look at the big picture," Ooms said. "This event will help them to see every aspect of marketing, from making their brand and website memorable and easy to use, to educating patients through marketing and giving their patients a comfortable experience in their office."

During the program, experts will discuss how consumers seeking medical services research their symptoms online and then seek out the right medical care for treatment. Tips on how to create a Starbucks-like experience and grow revenue also will be discussed.

Speakers also will dive into the most challenging aspect of advertising: tracking. Demonstrations will show how to set up key performance indicators and determine cost per patient acquisition. By properly analyzing data and results, attendees will learn how to use this information to make the best decisions in the future.

Experts will share how to stand out from competitors and how to develop a winning digital marketing plan. Attendees will learn ways to grow new patients and build a strong reputation both online and offline.

Presenters will address topics related to video, internal marketing, physician referrals, Google AdWords, print, radio and branding. The session will examine proven patient acquisition strategies including use of social media, Google, branding, publicity and offline advertising.

A box lunch will be served and a reception will take place at the end of the session.
