Dr. Jennifer Kohn has been named the 2018 Young Optometrist of the Year. The award, also called the President’s Citation, is presented to an Indiana Optometric Association member licensed 10 years or fewer for contributions to the profession and service for the benefit of the visual welfare of the community at large. Kohn practices at Moses EyeCare Center with offices throughout Northwest Indiana. 

Dr. Neil Gailmard of Munster was awarded the Meritorious Service Award by the Indiana Optometric Association. The award is given to an IOA member in recognition for service to the profession of optometry. Gailmard was recognized for his service, leadership and dedication as a contributor to the IOA newsletter. He practices at Gailmard Eye Center in Munster.

Susan Seydel, rehabilitation administrator at Hartsfield Village in Munster, is a recipient of the 2018 Eli Pick Facility Leadership Award, an honor from the American College of Health Care Administrators. Nationally, 351 administrators in 45 states received the facility leadership award this year. The Facility Leadership Award was first introduced in 2008 by the ACHCA’s former leader and member, the late Eli Pick. 

Magdalena Lybolt, co-founder and managing broker of Prime Real Estate, has been named a 2017 Top 1% Producer by the Chicago Association of Realtors. She was one of 16 Realtors to be awarded a Gold in Individual Units for selling between 100 and 169 units. Prime Real Estate is headquartered in Crown Point.
