Brightwood College to host job fair

Brightwood College in Hammond will host a job fair on May 11.

If you're looking for a job or a new gig, clear your calendar for May 11.

Brightwood College will host a career fair that's open to the public from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the campus at 7833 Indianapolis Boulevard in Hammond. It's part of a national event with career fairs at 64 other Brightwood campuses across the county.

“Hosting a career fair presents such a valuable opportunity for students, local employers and community members alike," Campus President Chris Artim said. “Especially in today’s job market, networking is becoming increasingly valuable, and we are eager to help facilitate these professional connections. We are grateful for the opportunity to invest in our community and in the Hammond job market with this career development event.”

Multiple employers from Northwest Indiana and beyond will be on hand, including Franciscan Alliance, Chicago Family Health, Community Hospital, Destiny Dental, Women's Healthcare Associates of Illinois, JMJ Talent Solutions, Massage Envy, CVS, Kauffman Chiropractic, Planned Parenthood, Southeastern Medical Center, Benchik Medical Center and Dental Dreams.

Attendees also can learn about Brightwood's degree paths, such as its Applied Business Fundamentals, Clinical Massage Therapy, Dental Assistant, Medical Assistant, Medical Billing and Coding Specialist and Pharmacy Technician programs.

Job seekers can win prizes that include a Chromebook computer and an Amazon gift card.
