HOBART | You're bruised from Black Friday and you still can't believe some of the deals you scored on Cyber Monday, but you probably don't have all your holiday shopping done yet.

If you hit up Southlake Mall this Saturday, you might end up saving some money.

The super-regional mall at U.S. 30 and Mississippi Street in Hobart will randomly give out gift cards between 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. Saturday as part of a #ShareTheSpirit promotion. Mall representatives will go around and randomly pick shoppers to get a $50 gift card and a second $25 gift card they're supposed to give to an unsuspecting stranger to "share the spirit."

"We want people to pay it forward with completely random acts of kindness," Marketing Director Erin Webster said.

#ShareTheSpirit is just the latest effort by new owner Starwood to kindle more interest in the 41-year-old mall. Starwood recently launched a mall-wide rewards program with more than 150 participating stores, added a digital river in the middle of the mall, and lured more contemporary retailers like H&M and Forever 21.
